As  with the physical world I've always wanted to know about the spiritual dimension of the Universe. Is there a God? Is there not a God? Is there life after death? etc...

I did not want to simply abdicate my personal spiritual and intelectual  responsibilities to myself and blindly follow some obscure faith idea. I wanted to KNOW! I needed to KNOW.

At the end of the day I felt that most humans would like to achieve some knowledge of the existence of the universe and where we all fit into it. Almost everybody has simply said "well we're here - we'll never know everything so let's just get on with getting through this life as painlessly as possible. Leave the rest to the Fantasy-Brigade!"
